Strong Winds in the Bay area are causing some major damage. Trees are getting knocked over causing road closures, downed power lines, and damage to property. Some downed power lines are causing bush fires.
Wind speeds between 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 75 mph are raging across the bay area today. High winds are expected to continue for the next couple of days and calm down towards the end of the week with a slight chance of rain on Friday.
In San Mateo county all parks are closed, and Highway 1 is blocked by trees and debris. Power outages are affecting many areas and residents. Firefighters are currently working hard to take care of as many issues as they can.
